Peer Mediation Programs
Peer mediation, as a bedrock of conflict resolution, forms a key part of present and future programming for CC,CD. This program aims at conferring problem solving skills upon students as well as providing a mechanism for address dispute issues more quickly and effectively.
The core Peer Mediation training includes a basic introduction to conflict resolution principle, including among other things listening and communication skills. Building upon those core principles, students are then organized into small groups to practice through role plays. Current plans to take this to the next step including institutionalizing the programs through integration with school counseling teams.
